A Raisin in the Sun. A photoshoot dedicated to reminding brown skin girls our light illuminates against any color. Our skin glitters like gold, our melanin priceless yet sold, yet our skin glows like diamond. Natural and pure, Steve Dollas and I shot in the late hours to catch the sun setting at its peak. Crafting the thought and fully executing this shoot was so fulfilling. I remember times when I didn’t think I could wear just anything against my skin, i remember wanting to be lighter, thinking that would make me prettier.
